THE TANK MUSEUM, BOVINGTON
CONTRACTOR: NORWEST HOLST LTD
ARCHITECT: KENNEDY O’CALLAGHAN
Supply & fix of cladding to the observation tower at The Tank
Museum, Bovington. The cladding consists of self-coloured perforated
aluminium panels to the Observation Tower which is to be used to
control live events and battle re-enactments in the new tank arena.
The Tower itself stands 25m high with the cladding covering an
area 12.75m high x 9.5m circumference.
Supply and installation of galvanised polyester powder-coated
balustrade & European Oak handrails to various internal stairs
and landings. Handrails installed to staff areas and directors
office as well as various corporate areas including curved stairs
to waiting area to first floor bridge, café & museum
landing, balustrade to café terrace, curved & raking
handrails to museum ramps, marching step viewing bank and also
back of house external escape stairs.
